David Lee Roth was born on 10th of October in the year 1954 in Bloomington, Indiana. After some years, his family moved to sunny California. In this place, David attended Pasadena Community College where he met the Van Halen brothers and Michael Anthony. They formed a band named as Van Halen and released their debut album named as Van Halen in the year 1978. They rose to fame through their song Jump which was released in the year 1984.

This song became no. 1 on Billboard charts. Later, in 1985 David left the band and started his solo career. His solo career started with the song Crazy From The Heat but after some years his career started fading so in 1996, he reconvened with Van Halen for two songs for the band’s greatest hit album.

After some time, David joined the group and is still pursuing his solo career. In between his singing career, he has also worked as a DJ for some time and has written an autobiography book titled “Crazy From The Heat” in the year 1997.

In his initial phase of career, David became friends with Alex Van Halen and Eddie who are brothers who played together in a band named Mammoth. David had worked with several bands like Red Ball Jets and Mammoth too used to rent Roth’s PA system for their gigs. Later, Roth joined Mammoth permanently and the group changed its name to Van Halen due to some identity issues.

In 1977, Van Halen had a contract with Warner Bros and they also released their self-titled album in the next year. The band was a big hit by Roth’s voice and Eddie Van Halen’s guitar. The band got a lot of fame and they gave a lot of hit albums but in 1984, Roth began to sing on his own on which Van Halen replaced him with his musical rival named Sammy Hagar.

In March 2015, a new live album was released to fans, Tokyo Dome Live in Concert, which was recorded in June 2013 during the A Different Kind of Truth Tour. That same month, the band made its first foray into American television by appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, announcing a new tour in the process.
