  1. For Joe Kenda
    Love the show
    Love your sense of humor

You and the officers at Colorado Springs did one heck of a job. God Bless your wife for her undying love and devotion to you so you could solve these crimes.
Looks like your sons took a lot of pride in their careers also.

  2. I believe Joe Kenda has 2 grown children: but they are a son and a daughter, not 2 sons as in his biographical information above.

  3. When you look up dedicated public servant taking responsibility for cleaning up some of the worst events in our society, Joe Kenda’s name shows up in the dictionary. A great man, a homicide detective among the finest of his peers.

  4. Is the True Crimes Show scripted or does Joe Kendra just speak his story? Really enjoy his presentations of each episode.

    • He refused to read a script saying I’m a police officer not an actor. If that’s what you want find someone else according to other biographies.

      ❤️❤️❤️Joe Kenda

  5. They should do some shows about the 8% of the homicides that “got away” and let the arm chair detectives help him solve them..just an idea. Imagine solving 100%! Although 92% is outstanding and crazy high %, it would be a thrill to drop in to the criminals that thought they beat Joe Kenda, and got away. I’ve enjoyed all episodes-but there was 1 I never got to finish-the guy that shot the 38 in the super market, robbing the place but also getting his tail whooped by an employee! I suspected the kid sitting with the other witnesses from the market bcuz they looked hella scared of that guy. I hope they checked his hands for GSR and looked into the produce bins for the weapon! Am I right, was that the gunman? If not, who? I can’t find the ending!

  6. There was an episode where a maintenance man killed an expectant mother of two young boys. The evidence was overwhelming, but the jury found him innocent. Kenda (and I) were both disgusted. He went to NY where he was thrown from the upper level of a high rise building. To me, it was karma. What did Kenda really think?

  7. I’m trying to find Joe Kendas’ new show called ”American Detective” which from his Biography says begun in January, 2021. Can you tell me what channel it is on? The Bio said it is on I.D channel but I have been unable to find it.

  8. I loved it when he said my my,my. Loved his show that he told people about his life as a Detective. And the murders he solved. The actor who played him was good on the series. He’s a cutie. Thank you for sharing your story ❤ !!!

  9. If you really stop and think about it Joe’s career is very remarkable. The amount of time he dedicated himself to the job had to take its toll in many facets. I have watched several if not all of his episodes. I can’t even imagine the horrific images he has investigated . The first time I saw a dead person was life changing, I didn’t know them but knew they belonged to a family somewhere. After the incident every time I closed my eyes the first thing I saw was the body. I call out investigators all the time for the state where I live and the job I have committed to, just hearing about the specifics of the crime are very upsetting. Crime Scene Investigators, like Joe have my utmost respect. I pray all of their dreams to be peaceful by knowing they brought closure for a loved one, and removed a evil deadly person from our society. Thank you for your service, Joe.

  10. I never cared for real life police shows but Joe Kenda changed that. His narration of events was intriguing. His expression, his “oh well now” and “ well my, my, my” raised expectations that all right he’s on to something.
His wife in real life seems to be hysterically funny and was so understanding about all the middle of the night calls. She and I think it was the woman reporter seemed to have a good relationship.
Det. Kenda solved 356 cases, only 11 cases were unsolved. That’s phenomenal! I sure wish he could solve an unsolved case in our area.
I would love to know what he thinks of the terrible treatment of police today, soft sentences, low to no bail etc.
    Thanks Joe!
