  1. Hi, Richard Carpenter. My name is Nicole. I know that I don’t know you personally. I saw the movie on tv called The Karen Carpenter Story. That was sad and depressing about how Karen suffers an eating disorder and later dies. May I comment how much that I loved your music and hit songs? Close to you was my most favorite. I think that 60s and 70s were sexual and peaceful. that is all I have to say.

  2. Dear carpenters;
    My name is Jennifer, I am a kid from the 2000’s yet feel like I’ve always had an old soul especially when it came to my music taste. I want to thank you for the beautiful and magical melodies you guys provided even if your time was so much before me, I am mentally equipped to understand and appreciate your music and feel the emotions behind the beats and feel the serenity within Karen’s vocals. As someone of a younger demographic I don’t have anyone to share my passion with and the comment section is turned off for most carpenters music on YouTube unfortunately, I do find the ones made by unofficial channels with an active comment section and that’s about as good as it gets. All I see is thankful and grateful compliments and people talking about how much they appreciate the music you guys have made, I love to read the ones from og fans telling their stories from the live shows.. blows my mind how people in their 60’s-80’s know how to use YouTube lol but I’m glad they do because I really enjoy to talk to other people who enjoy the music as well, can be a really nice to read as you reminisce to the sounds of the song. I can relate to some of Karen’s body image issues due to the fact I have body dysmorphia and its only been getting worse as I get older, however I am getting the emotional help I need and am glad I have all the tools I have today, it is so sad and unfortunate how in your time things like body disorders and eating disorders where not too widely talked about or understood. An angel lost too soon as they all say <3 Anyways I just want to thank you and your sister once again for the music and art you guys put into the world, I will forever be wishing to hop into a time machine one day to see you guys preform live in front of the crowds and I would make sure I’m in front row 🙂 words cannot even begin to describe the beauty in your music and how thankful I am for it’s presence in my life. You and Karen’s story has made a huge impact on my life and I will always be a carpenters fan, wish I could meet you Richard while you are still around these days and talk about it all! So many questions… may your guys’s legacy live on! Thank you so much!

  3. Watching show on PBS now you are such a great talent crying at many songs THANK YOU GOD BLESS KAREN AND YOU TO RICH ,THANK THANK THANKS THANKS LOVE MUKE

  4. Grew up listening so you & your beautiful sister make & perform the Carpenters music
    What a team you & Karen were
    Just heart felt beautiful songs
    Thank you for the memories

  5. Every Carpenter song is so filled with beautiful lyrics, great melodies, great singers, musicians and all the other elements of wonderful music.
    I write songs too. Not living in Nashville or New York or California where songwriting is a respected career and with no idea how to sell a song or who might buy one, I got a degree in Nursing at 19 for a job, a degree in Business at 21 to make money and a graduate degree in Writing for the Stage at 23 for the joy of being heard.
    Now when I hear the Caprentr songs, I know why I got that last degree. I did it, not for the money or even fame, but to have my stories and heard and to see my music touch hearts.
    Thank you to the Carpenters for touching my heart with your beautiful music.

    Now I write historical musicals just to get my songs heard. I would love to write great songs, but it’s for the love of touching people’s heart so I’m a success at that.
