Ruth was brought up with her brother Harold in Stonington, Connecticut where her father owned Buzzi memorial where her brother took over the business until his retirement in 2013.

The success of the series led her to be considered as a cast in the NBC’s new show “Rowan and Martin’s laugh-in”. She became the only cast to appear in all the episodes of the series, the laugh-in television special and the pilot show.

In 1981, she guest-starred as Chloe in “Alice” and also was a guest –star on down to earth in 1985. some of the other television series she has guest starred are such as “The flip Wilson show”, “Donny & Marie” , “The Carol Burnett show” and “dawn.
