  1. Furtick probably doesn’t preach on Matthew 6:24.

Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”

    • A servant is worthy of his hire. How is having a nice home worshipping money? He built this church from the ground up, he has written 9 books, multiple praise and worship songs, & led countless thousands of souls to the Lord. But he shouldn’t be paid for doing any of that? What have you done for The Kingdom of God? Do you get by w/ just what you need to survive & give the rest to God? What have you done for Jesus? This is so hypocritical. You want him to do something you aren’t willing to do yourself. He has a congregation of 40,000 people and a WORLDWIDE ministry. His wife is a New York Times Best Seller… be careful what you say about Gods anointed ( that’s in Gods word too…) you should read it sometime & stop begrudging this man who has dedicated his entire life to His Savior. Try is sometime, maybe he will bless you.

  2. Steven Furtick is an awesome pastor. Lets not hate him because he’s rich. That just goes to show who you are. Steven helped me fight my cancer with his powerful words of God.

  3. Love Elevation Church. The messages and songs and worship is awesome. However, I was so disappointed that the church would allow a visiting pastor to wear a t-shirt that said “SCOTCH AND SODA”. I believe the message we wear outside our heart is what is from the inside of our heart. What message was overwhelmingly sent to the lost and unsaved people watching Sunday service? We know what his drink of choice is. He had an awesome message but his t shirt sent a different message. Satan creeps in anyway he can. The message we wear on our chest sends a clear message of the heart.

    • I did not think that the shirt was in good taste either and told elevation so. I did learn that it is actually a brand name for a clothing line. Which again not a respectable thing a minister or any Christian should wear. It was bad form none the less.

  4. I love Pastor Furtick and listen to him regularly. To takes God’s blessings on someone’s life and turn them into something bad speaks to your own walk with God. To imply that a Pastor must be poor to be of God is insanity. Thank you God for the blessings on the Furtick family and I ask your continued blessings over mine. In Jesus’ name. Amen

  5. Hi Steven or one of his team, I would like to say you are a very good preacher, & I know you are very enthusiastic with your message, but it some times it come across a bit of shouting message & can scare little kids. I just thought I should I should say something.

  6. Never heard of him but when I listened to him on YouTube I really got emotional and asked the Lord to forgive me. Now I listen to him all the time.

  7. Read Matthew 10 what did Jesus say to the 12 when he sent them out? Luke 9 Also… did Jesus say get rich on my behalf for preaching my word. NO.. he said go with nothing take Only what you need… I’m not a preacher read it for yourself. Focus on The Bible stay away from these megachurches. Fellowship with small groups people.

    • Hmmmm. Yes he teaches from the Bible scriptures, which is the word of God. Ask yourself, why did Jesus have a treasurer if He was poor when He went out into the world. Why does the word say we should prosper even as our souls prosper? Also if Pastors shouldn’t have money for doing their calling / their jobs; then why should you get paid when you go to work? Or when you get a raise, do you say …no thank you, Jesus doesn’t want me to have more money? Also,
Do you say the same thing to doctors or lawyers about their income?
People pay money to see the professional sports team…even when some of the players are failing drug tests and doing everything else. Are you writing and complaining about their salaries? And I’m not judging them either.
BUT THE BOTTOM LINE SHOULD BE….JUDGE NOT, least we be judged in the same manner. IF any Pastor or person is doing something wrong, let God handle it.
I know when and if I sin, I pray for mercy and forgiveness. Last year my son was killed by a teenage driver with no license going 75 in a 30 mph neighborhood. The pain is overwhelming, so yes, I look to pastors like this who can give an encouraging word to help my healing process. And for the boy that killed my son , when I faced him in court I told him I forgive him because of the God I serve.
We don’t know what people are going through, so don’t be so quick to criticize these pastors who have money because they are reaching the hurt and the lost.

    • 1 Timothy 5:17-18 says other wise…

Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in —> preaching and teaching <—. For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle an ox when it treads out the grain,” and, “The laborer deserves his wages.”

  8. I am not a church goer nor a follower of Furtick. However, my comment is simply this, in this day and age, people will not listen to those with nothing to offer. If someone has a truthful word, but is homeless, nobody will hear the message. I believe God knows this and elevates those with the right heart and endurance to overcome the worlds hate. Thanks.

  9. I have recently found Pastor Steven Furtick. He is a wonderful man of God! I would love to be a member of Elevation Worship, the Music along with the Word is priceless. God ALWAYS has a word for me.
    Thank you Pastor and Church.
When are you coming back to Texas?

  10. You can be rich and serve God.
As long as money isn’t your God. Nothing wrong with earning money.
What is wrong is what you do with that money.
You don’t have to be Poor to be a Christian or Minister.
Don’t understand why people think that.
God can Bless you in every way including financially, when you do his calling and his will.
