Fun fact: I danced with Clarence Clemons (A.K.A. The Big Man) who played the saxophone/percussion for the E. Street Band, while he was performing with his band Clarence Clemons and the Red Bank Rockers at a restaurant on River Road, NJ (The same town Bruce bought a home for his family.) Blame it on the whiskey sours-I didn’t know I was dancing with CC…serenading me with his sax until a friend told me when I sat back down. NJ has always had an underserved bad rap. “What exit do you live off?” Every state-and I’ve lived in six-have their beautiful and not so beautiful sections. I live in Texas now. Lucky enough to see The Boss perform here. Ironic since I grew up in the same county as him! People are clueless that NJ is horse country (Freehold) and has one of the most expensive counties in the US-Monmouth County-where Bruce lived and my husband and I grew up.
