In his first game for the team, he delivered a career-high 33 rebounds. His last NBA season was the 1999-00 season, where he averaged 14.5 points per game.

He was also a member of the 1992 and 1996 United States men’s basketball team that won the Olympics. In fact, he even led the team in scoring, rebounds, and field goal at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympic Games. He has been working as a television analyst since 2000 after retiring from the game.

  1. Mr Barkley My dad Jack Minshdw was one of the officials during your senior year ,the tournament in Tuscaloosa. Buck Johnson, Bobby Lee Hurt, Vernia Strickland and Ennis Whatley just to name a few of the stars, I was excited as I got to sit on the sidelines. We knew nothing about you except you were going against John Hand the defensive tackle who started at Bama. You are a true pleasure to watch an amazing athlete but a better person. We would love to have you as Governor and help this state to catch up with the world. I had Covid months back was on ventilator and in coma not much chance of living but I made it, trying to get back on my feet, I tell you this to let you know if you would have been Governor I know you are about the people and wouldn’t have cancelled our 300 dollars we got to help us who lost our jobs due to covid, we really need you sir!!!! Again thank you for telling it like it is, which we call the truth….
