After divorcing Margaret, he married Jo Ann Pflug in 1972 and together they have a daughter named Melissa. Unfortunately, just like the 1st marriage, this ended after 8 years as they divorced in 1980. He married his 3rd wife Teri Nelson and together they have 2 kids namely Michael and Sean. They adopted actor Nelson J. Davis daughter and everything was working on well until 2004 when they decided to call it quits.

Between 1977 and 1980, Warner Bros Records and Epic Records gave him an opportunity of working with them after the success of his song in 1968. This is what opened great doors for him even in the film industry, and he was cast in the film ‘Evil in the Deep’ in the mid-1970s. And on 1989, he was cast in ‘Cold Feet’ among others.
