When it comes to music, it is one thing that brings total healing to people’s pain and sorrow. At the same time, it is the one thing that you will never lack in a celebration. When people are planning a budget, one thing that they make sure they include in their list is music and most of the time, it is usually very expensive. But since it is the main thing in the celebration, what do we do then bear the cost and ensure that our guests are well entertained?

If you have been wondering why famous singers are very rich, now you know. This is also the same thing that makes many groups and bands not get along very well. Once they become famous and they start earning more, they start fighting each and feeling like they are not getting as much as they deserve. Before they know it, the band is dead and everyone is walking on their own path.

Luckily, there are bands that have been strong enough to stand the test of time and are still doing wonders together. One of these is CNCO which is a Latin American boy band that has become very famous in a very short time. The band is based Miami and is made of 5 members named; Joel Pimentel, Erick Brian Colón, Richard Camacho, Zabdiel De Jesús and Christopher Vélez.

Well, how well do you know about CNCO? If not much, we have compiled all you need to know about CNCO’s net worth in 2024, wiki and complete details. Well, if you’re all set, here is what we know about CNCO to date.

Inception

In September 2015, Joel Pimentel, Erick Brian Colón, Richard Camacho, Zabdiel De Jesús and Christopher Vélez auditioned for La Banda first season. This was a televised singing competition whse debut was in September 2015 on Univision. The competition was created by Simon Cowell, but Rick Martin was the producer.

During the auditions, all of them received 75% of the votes, and it is the only Colon who was not lucky enough to receive the votes but luckily, Martin saved him. The band members competed individually with another contestant from the United States and Latin America before the judges of the show Laura Pausini, Martin, and Alejandro Sanz. For them to become winners, they had to go through several phases.

The boys had to be grouped and unfortunately, they were not put in the same group. Camacho and De Jesus were placed in the same band while Colon, Velez, and Pimentel were placed in another. The bands were formed on the season finale on 13th December in 2015. When they received the name of the band, it was “Cinco” which is a Spanish word for 5 and in English, it is spelled as C-N-C-O.

Luckily, the boy won a 5-years contract with Sony Music Latin and Wisin the rapper was scheduled in producing their first album. They appointed Martin to become their representative. On the finale, they performed the song “Devuélveme Mi Corazón” and it included performances by Wisin, Fifth Harmony, Pitbull, and a congratulatory video from One Direction. During the 2016 New Year’s celebration, they sang the song again at Univision’s Feliz in Times Square.

Evolution

On 29th January 2016, they released their first single titled “Tan Facil” which was such a great success that it was featured on Latin Rhythm Airplay Billboard at number 25. On Hot Latin Songs Chart, the song was number 23 and instantly, it became the best on US iTune Latino Charts. After some time, it topped on the Latin Airplay chart. On 30th January 2016, their first concert was held in The Fillmore Miami Beach.

There was no stopping for these boys. By February of 2016, they had already started touring on Ricky Martin’s One World Tour as opening acts for some of Martin’s shows in the United States. These included Florida, Hollywood, Puerto Rico, San Juan as well as some parts of South America including Argentina and Chile.

On 13th of May the same year, the band released their second band titled Quisiera. Just like their first single, this was also a great success and it reached number 29 on Hot Latin Songs Billboard and on June 3rd, their music video premiered. In May, at Yankee Stadium, they sang the national anthem.

On July 13, the band received a total of 6 nominations at Premios Juventud and luckily, they won 5 for the most and were given an opportunity to perform on the platform. The band was so committed in releasing a song after another and it was now time to release their first album. The album was titled “Primera Cita” and it was released on 26th of August 2016 and this marked the beginning of their successful career in the music world.

This band might have been around for less than 10 years but they have achieved much more than what other bands have managed to achieve over the years. Apart from fame, they have also achieved more than 50 awards and nominations. These include; 10 Billboard Latin Music Awards and 1 nomination, 12 Latin American Awards and 6 Premios Juventud Awards and one nomination among others.
