Inception

In 2005, J-Dog, Shady Jeff, and Deuce posted a song entitled “The Kids” on the MySpace profile of the band. The idea was conceived by Shady Jeff who at that time was known as Jeff Phillips. This led to the formation of Hollywood Undead. A year later, the band started to work on their debut album. Soon they were joined by Johnny 3 Tears, Charlie Scene, Da Kurlzz, and Funny Man. These were not their original names and took pseudonyms. However, Shady Jeff left the band after having a conflict.

Currently, Dylan Alvarez (Funny Man) serves as the lead vocalist of the band. Other band members have also equally rendered their vocals. In the beginning, whoever played an instrument became a member of the band. Soon they got signed to MySpace Records for their first album. The debut album of Hollywood Undead called ‘Sawn Songs’ was released in 2008. It went on to sell 21000 copies in just a week, and the singles also featured in different chartbusters.

Following the success of their debut album, Hollywood Undead came up with ‘Swan Songs B-Sides’ in 2009.
