Well, how well do you know about Jabbawockeez? If not much, we have compiled all you need to know about Jabbawockeez’s net worth in 2024, wiki and complete details. Well, if you’re all set, here is what we know about Jabbawockeez to date.

Inception

Jabbawockeez was started by Kevin “KB” Brewer, Joe Tarot, and Phil Tayag. They performed wearing masks and gloves, a style adopted from Medea Sirkas, a Francisco strutting crew. They did not select any leader for their group as they argued that when you watch, you watch them collectively.

The name Jabbawockeez was coined by Joe Larot, which he got from Lewis Carroll’s nonsense poem, Jabberwocky. They came up with a signature to put on white masks and gloves. Later, they added Rynan “Kid Rainen” Paguio and Chris Gatdula to the group. By 2004, the dance crew comprised eight members, namely, Kevin, Joe, Phil, Gary, Randy, Ryan Phi, and Chris.

Within a short period, the dance crew increased their members to eleven. Rynan Paguio was joined after having met Jeff “Phi” Nguyen in an audition at Los Angeles and was attracted by Jabbawockeez. Ben “B-Tek” Chung, who happened to be Kaba Modern alumnus, also joined the crew. Eddie “Eddiestyles” Gutierrez and Saso “Saso Fresh” Jimenez were also added.

To be unique, the dance troop adopted an eclectic mix of various dance styles and careful self-instrumentals. They appeared as nine members on the second season of America’s Got Talent in 2007, but they were eliminated in the Las Vegas callbacks episode. Their request to participate in the first season of America’s Best Dance Crew was approved in 2008. Currently, the current crew members are; Kevin Brewer, Joe Larot, Jeff Nguyen, Rynan Paguio, Gavin Pecson, and Kris Mangonon.

Evolution

Jabbawockeez’s major breakthrough came after their participation in America’s Best Dance Crew (ABDC). The crew member limit was seven members and intended to present Gary, Phil, Kevin, Joe, Rynan, Chris, and Phi. Later that year, Gary died, and Joe suffered a knee injury; thus, Joe was replaced by Ben Chung while Gary’s spot remained vacant. With six members, they ended up the winners, earning $100,000.

After their appearance in ABDC, they appeared in several other events including, Pepsi, For. They performed in various other dances including, Dancing with the Stars, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, So You Think You Can Dance, and many others. They also appeared in Step Up 2 The Streets when they also launched their own clothing line. Together with ABDC season two winner, Super Cr3w, they were the opening act of the Battle of the VMAs ABDC special.

They embarked on a three days tour to Australia and were able to perform in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. They also made several appearances on MTV Iggy. On 7 May 2010, they performed at Las Vegas for a personal audition to Felix Rappaport, Herman Flores, Steve Vera, and Daryl Williams. In February 2020, they announced their latest productions, TIMELESS, replacing their previous, JREAMZ.
