He later tried with Liquigas-Doimo team that gave him a ten months contract which was later revised to two years contract. During Paris-Nice Road race, he shocked many experienced racers by winning first and second stages of the race.

He competed with Liquigas-Domo team for four years winning several races including Tour de Pologne in 2011. In 2015, he changed teams moving to Tinkoff team from Russia for two years before moving to his current team Bora-Hansgrohe in 2017. Sagan has won many accolades including numerous individual stages. When e is not competing for his team, he competes for his country where he has won Slovakia several gold medals in World Championships.
