Professional Career

Steiner trained under Dr. Jerry Graham Jr. at Torio’s Health Club in Toledo, Ohio and debuted under his real name in the Indianapolis-based World Wrestling Association in 1986. In 1988, he joined the Memphis-based Continental Wrestling Association under his real name. Steiner joined WCW together with his brother, in WCW, he debuted the name, Scott Steiner.

Here, they were managed by Missy Hyatt and often brought their pitbull, Arnold to the ring. In 1990, he started wrestling singles matches, especially after his brother was injured. In 1992, after a contractual issue with WCW Executive Vice President, Bill Watts, the Steiners left.

The Steiners joined WWF in 1992 and made their television debut on the episode of the 21st of December 1992. They had a short feud with Money Inc. (Ted DiBiase and Irwin R. Schyster) with whom they fought for the tag team championships numerous times.

Steiner’s only headlining pay-per-view appearance was in the elimination match main event at Survivor Series. In mid-1994, the Steiner brothers left the WWF. In 1991, they performed for NJPW while under contract with WWF and WCW. In 1995, after leaving WWF, they worked in Japan full-time.
