The group, Tame Impala, was established in 2007 by Kevin Parker as a home-recording project, and he posted various tracks on Myspace. To bring the tracks in front of the large audience, he appointed Dominic and Jay, and the trio began to play the music at the local level. By 2008 the group started to release a self-titled EP, and the album hit number 1 position on the Australian Independent Record Labels.
