Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden, and Ryan Dusick formed the pop band, Kara’s Flowers in 1994 when they were still in high school. Adam served as the lead vocalist, Jesse was the keyboardist and rhythm guitarist, Mickey was the bassist, and Ryan was the drummer of the band. With the addition of guitarist James Valentine to the band, the name of the band was changed to Maroon 5.
Their journey began in 2002, with the release of their debut single, “Harder to Breathe” which was both a commercial and critical success. The single was a part of their first album, “Songs About Jane”. The album eventually reached the 6th position on the Billboard 200 and even sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. In 2012, they released the album, “Overexposed” whose singles, “Payphone” and “One More Night” captured the second and the first position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart respectively.
